What Are One-Visit Crowns?

A dental crown is a custom-made cap that covers a damaged or weakened tooth, restoring its shape, strength, and appearance. Traditionally, getting a crown requires two separate appointments with weeks in between — first to prepare the tooth and take impressions, then to place the permanent crown after it returns from an outside lab.

With CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) technology, we eliminate that entire process. Your crown is designed, milled from a block of premium porcelain, and permanently placed — all in a single visit.

What to Expect

1. Preparation — The tooth is gently prepared and a digital scan captures its exact dimensions
2. Design — Using specialized software, we design your crown right in the office, ensuring optimal fit, bite, and aesthetics
3. Milling — The CEREC machine carves your crown from a block of tooth-colored porcelain in about 15 minutes
4. Placement — The crown is polished, color-matched, and permanently bonded to your tooth

The entire process typically takes 60–90 minutes.
